At home with week old Raife and his family.

I’m a bit lost for words trying to write a blog summarising this family’s session. Esther (the mama) and I go back about 4 years and she’s been a constant source of unwavering friendship and kindness. We’ve journeyed together through a long, yet almost too quick, four years.

I’ve been so honoured to be invited back time and time again to capture her pregnancies and the babies that have come from that wonderful belly.

In fact, Esther was my very first maternity session back in 2017 - I was a very nervous first time heavily pregnant Mum who’d just set up her business and made it official at 7 months pregnant (hello, nesting!), desperately needing models for my portfolio. At pregnancy yoga, one of the two friends I'd made there was getting her shoes on after the session and I plucked up the courage to ask her if she’d be up for modelling for me. I am forever grateful for the nervous but curious YES that followed.

When I say in my ‘about me’ page that I fiercely believe in the importance of memories, Esther is the reason for that.

Three pregnancies later, we are here, welcoming her last babe Raife to the world.

Thank you, E for being you and teaching me about the importance of memories.

Kind Words from Esther

“What can I say about Hannah?

She really is the most talented photographer, with such an eye to make things beautiful in such a natural way. I am no natural model; in fact I feel largely like a total plum when I am having my photo taken. But Hannah has a way of putting you at ease, making you feel comfortable and even making you feel utterly fabulous, even at 7-8 months pregnant, or one week postpartum, which is no mean feat!

She is able to capture you at your very best. Hannah sees all the beauty in the people she photographs. As an extra juicy bonus, she is one of the kindest and most thoughtful individuals I've known. She has given me wonderful memories to cherish with all three of my children, her photographs bring beauty to the walls of my home, and I am so grateful to her.

I can't recommend her highly enough.

Thank you Hannah, you really are an absolute gem.”
