Why shoot-a-long sessions not only build confidence but boost your business.
Working together with other photographers makes my heart do all sorts of lovely things which is why shoot-a-long sessions are one of my absolute favourite things to do.
Shoot-a-longs are one of the best ways to learn, build portfolio and gain confidence and practical skills at a shoot so if you’re a practical and/or visual learner, shoot-a-longs are for you.
how it works
Booking a shoot-a-long is super easy (fill in the form at the bottom of this page) and also discounted if you do the mentorship with me too (sweeeeeeet!).
Once we get to know each other a little better (via email or zoom), you decide which type of session you’re lacking confidence in or needing portfolio imagery for (maternity, couple, parenthood etc) then we’ll source someone out or you can join me on one of my upcoming sessions.
We’ll also go through the importance of a model release which we’ll both provide for the client so all the images you take can be used for self promotion: website, social media, flyers etc.
then we shoot!
I’ll start guiding and running the session as usual to learn how I pose and conduct shoots and then you’ll have opportunity to direct, pose and take charge, too.

I was joined by Abby (who drove about 8 hours today in a storm I might add - what a hero 🌬👸🏽⛈) for our shoot-a-long where they and joined me at one of my maternity sessions to shoot, learn and direct with me and dudes, they were awesome. They learnt a bunch, practiced confidence building by directing, tried new things, got some kickass imagery and we had an awesome time.
As well as having your own chance to direct and pose, you’re able to shoot with the direction that I do too. Here’s a few previews of mine from the shoot along - all edited using HBP Recollection Preset Pack.
I had the absolute best time and I am so looking forward to creating more magical memories and meeting more photographers.
